My Approach:
As a former elite athlete, I understand the pressure to perform, the challenge of tying your identity to achievement, and the uncertainty that can come with setbacks or major life transitions. Whether you’re an adolescent or an adult, life can bring anxiety, depression, grief, and uncertainty. Sometimes these struggles can lead to unhealthy relationships with substances, affecting both the person and the family. I have a special interest in working with athletes and high achievers, while tailoring therapy to each person’s individual needs and goals.
I believe we are much more than what we accomplish. Finding a sense of identity and purpose beyond performance can be an important part of building a fulfilling, balanced life. I work with people navigating anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, identity development, substance use and recovery, and the impact of a loved one’s substance use.
About Me:
Sports and the outdoors have been important parts of my life for as long as I can remember. I believe movement, time in nature, and meaningful connection are important parts of being human, and those values continue to shape how I live and how I work with others.
I am currently completing my Master of Social Work at the University of Utah. My clinical experience includes working with individuals and families impacted by substance use, as well as supporting people through anxiety, depression, life transitions, and grief.
When I’m not in the therapy room or learning something new, you’ll find me skiing, trail running, biking, paddle boarding, trying a new baking recipe, walking my dog, or spending time with friends and family.
