About Nick Galli
I am a California native, and moved to Utah in 2005 to pursue a PhD in Sport Psychology at The University of Utah. Since graduating I have worked as a professor at The U and as a performance consultant for various athletes, teams, and performers of all kinds throughout the state. After much reflection, in 2019 I decided to return to school to further my understanding of mental health and become qualified to provide counseling services. I am excited to expand my skills in a way that allows me to facilitate both performance and well-being in my clients.
I operate from a strengths-based and solution-focused orientation. You are the expert on you. My job is to accept you as you are, ask the right questions, and offer tools to help close the gap between how you feel now and how you want to feel. At times we are our own worst enemy, and I enjoy helping clients develop self-compassion through a variety of cognitive behavioral and acceptance and commitment therapy-focused interventions. Ultimately, I want you to feel empowered when dealing with personal challenges.
