PHILOSOPHY OF CARE

“Compassion is the radicalism of our time”  – The Dalai Lama

Life can be complicated and full of unexpected events that overwhelm us. Sometimes we just need a dedicated space and caring individual to listen, explore, and brainstorm a way through.

We naturally adapt and behave according to the circumstances we are in. Conditions can pressure us to do things we may not normally do. When this happens, we may suffer intensely, judge ourselves harshly, and strive to hide our mistakes. We may begin to isolate ourselves from others due to the shame we feel. Sadly, we may show more compassion for others than we do for ourselves.

Therapy is an opportunity to find and align with one’s true self. It is a non-judgmental space where shame-filled thoughts and negative beliefs can be examined and challenged. Most importantly, it is a space to explore, express, and unwind the overwhelm of living in a complex world. If you feel ready for the journey, it would be my honor to join you in it.
