“Hope is an essential curative aspect of all forms of psychotherapy. [And] making art is a symbolic expression of hope.”

About Jamie Tanner
I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. I received my B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Utah. I am currently pursuing an M.A. in Art Therapy and Counseling from Southwestern College.
I believe that art offers a safe container for expressing and observing emotions. Creating art as part of the therapeutic process offers clients a different approach to understanding themselves and their experiences.
My type of counseling involves Person-Centered techniques, unconditional positive regard, and creative expression. I want to help clients feel safe and supported during their healing journey.
